You'll love the integrated brake lights and toggle-able front light (activated by pressing the power button). The crisp display shows speed, battery level, and a green indicator when the headlight's on. Plus, you can switch between MPH and KM.
The riding experience is phenomenal! Comfortable handles, smooth gliding, and legit tires that handle bumps effortlessly. It easily hits 15mph (actually reaches 15.5mph!). Cruise control engages after 5 seconds of acceleration and disengages with a simple brake tap or throttle press. The responsive brakes and impressive battery life are standout features - after a 3-4 mile joyride, the battery barely dropped!
Its foldable design makes storage and transport convenient, fitting perfectly in car trunks or under desks. While somewhat heavy when folded, it's safer than leaving it locked outside.
We compared the 300W and 250W models:
- The 300W excels on hills with better battery life (only 1 bar lost after 6 hilly miles vs. the 250W's full drain)
- The 250W works fine for flat terrain and short distances
- Both share identical features except for slight tire size and power differences
If you're choosing between them, the 300W is superior for most riders, though the 250W suffices for casual use. Both deliver exceptional performance and fun.
I can't recommend these scooters enough - they exceed expectations in every way! Don't hesitate; you won't regret this purchase. These scooters truly impress in quality, performance, and design.
When I first bought it, I had a minor issuea large nail/screw punctured the rear wheel. Fortunately, the solid tires prevented a potentially dangerous accident. I contacted W4MAX's manufacturer (outside the U.S.), and a representative named Lisa was incredibly helpful. She responded quickly, answered all my questions, and arranged an exchange for a new scooter. Within just four days of returning the damaged one, I received a replacement. Thank you, LisaI truly appreciate your excellent support.
Overall, I rate this scooter 10 stars and highly recommend it to everyone. The after-sales service is outstanding as well.
This scooter combines comfort, lightweight design, and easy handling with good power delivery. It features intuitive controls including throttle, e-brake, cruise control, and satisfactory suspension. Few competitors in this price bracket offer comparable features. The companion app enables customization of cruise control, power output, and regenerative braking (both set to 10 in my case). The precise throttle response deserves mention, though I disabled the kick-start function - not advisable for novices or younger riders.
The 10-inch pneumatic tires prevent flats while providing shock absorption, though their size creates some bounce. While its range falls short of Ninebot models, the W4MAX offers superior comfort and responsiveness. Range would improve in slower modes or with lighter riders, though I consistently use top speed.
Having owned dual-motor scooters with twice the speed (at considerably higher cost and weight), I find the W4MAX unbeatable within its price category. Overall performance and features make it an outstanding choice.
While the scooter is well-built and extremely quiet, with a useful app and neat cruise control feature, it's only suitable for flat terrain. At 170lbs, I found it couldn't handle even minor hills. This model might work as a pit bike or for very light children on hills, but most adults will need a more powerful version for inclined surfaces.
Due to its poor hill-climbing performance, I returned the scooter. The product listing should be updated to accurately reflect its limitations.
The listed 35 lb weight seems inaccurate - it feels closer to 40-50 lbs based on my experience as an Amazon delivery driver handling 50 lb totes. That said, it's still manageable to carry one-handed.
Folding is simple, and it stores in roughly 4 ft lengthwise with about a foot width (handlebars). Transport isn't effortless but isn't overly difficult either - I regularly take it on buses.
I bought it through Affirm for around $550. Anything under $400 would be a great deal.
It's handled nails and small branches (audibly) without issues. The ride is smooth, though I've had minor falls due to large branches and poor night visibility. The built-in front and rear lights make night riding visible to drivers, but I recommend adding a headlamp for better ground illumination.
Very satisfied overall!
