I hope these bulbs last a long time. Given the affordable price, I have no complaints—just considering buying a spare set in case one fails. A+ rating! The built-in fan should keep them cool, and the plug-and-play design required no modifications.
Installation for my 2005 Prius: Remove the old bulb and dust cover, detach the retaining plate from the new bulb, position it, and secure the retaining ring. Then insert and twist the bulb into place. I do wish it had a locking mechanism - I'm concerned it might gradually rotate over time. While it won't fall out, this could alter the beam pattern.
Beam difference: Unlike traditional bulbs that glow in all directions, these surface-mounted LEDs only emit light from two sides (left and right). Fortunately, this matches my car's headlight assembly design perfectly.
