[UPDATE 1] Lowering my rating pending support response. One bulb has faulty LEDs on a side. Purchased 6 months ago with minimal usageunder 5k miles annually, mostly daytime driving, so headlights were rarely used.
[UPDATE 2] Support responded promptly and sent a replacement already.
On my Tundra, I had to slightly pull out the light assembly because these bulbs have a thicker base, preventing them from fitting past the frame like the old ones. Performance should improve further once I replace the faded and scratched protective film on my lens covers. Since I'm unsure about their waterproofing, I'll need to create a cover for the back, as water can seep past the hood, and the rubber bulb seal has been missing for a while.
**Update:** I realized I didn't align the bulb's cooling fins correctly. After inspecting the assembly, I noticed they needed a 45-degree rotation after locking them in. The instructions explain how to adjust the lock ring but don't clarify its alignment relative to the base. You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver (like one for eyeglasses) since the screws are tiny.
Important note: The lock ring rotatesnot the LED post (dont twist the post). Figuring out the correct position for the lock ring to align the LED post vertically (flat sides at 9 and 3 o'clock) feels like solving an engineering puzzle.
The driver's side was simplerjust twist the plug to the right after insertion. The passenger side took a few attempts, requiring the plug wires to face downward toward the fender before twisting toward the engine to lock. Its a bit of a contortionist act, but honestly, the whole process took me under 10 minutes.
Id definitely buy these againhopefully not for another decade.
