I own a 2020 Toyota Tacoma with factory headlights. The new lights arrived extremely fast and came in high-quality packaging. Upon opening the box, the lights look impressive with a solid, durable construction. I appreciate that these lights don’t have cooling fans like some other models, eliminating potential failure points.
Installation was straightforward, though they fit about 90% perfectly – possibly due to my late-night installation in freezing temperatures. I’ll update after trying a side swap.
The low beams produce a warm 4500K light similar to stock headlights. The high beams are spectacular – intensely bright at 6500K, with what I estimate to be a 90% CRI rating, which is excellent for LEDs. The light distribution is wide and far superior to the original equipment.
As someone who moves around the U.S. every few months, I’m currently in rural Pennsylvania with frequent deer crossings. These lights provide exceptional visibility at night, spotting deer from great distances. I’ll share comparison photos soon – just haven’t had time to take them yet. These perform as well or better than any I’ve used previously. Though I don’t notice noise while driving, there’s an audible fan buzz when parked in the garage with lights on – no issue since it’s undetectable during operation. The high beams are exceptionally bright, making street signs reflect significantly more light, which helps alert passing vehicles. Installation in a Mercury Milan Hybrid is challenging due to the car’s design, not the lights themselves. Proper horizontal beam alignment is crucial to avoid wasting light upward. Note that the bulb shroud’s rubber cap must be removed to prevent overheating – I’ve stored mine in the glovebox without issues, as proper cooling extends LED lifespan. These emit a much whiter light than the halogens they replaced (which failed annually for me). After trying multiple LED brands that lasted no longer than halogens, I’m pleased to have found these reliable replacements.

I really liked how bright these lights were. Installation was easy, but the driver side failed this week. We’ve had some single-digit weathernot sure if that caused the cooling fan to fail or if it just burned out. For the price, they work, so I’ll try one more time. If they keep causing issues, I’ll switch to a pricier non-fan-cooled model. The fan seems like the weak point.
