The POCYBER wasn't dimmer than the Hikari based on controlled light meter measurements. When comparing both POCYBER models, the POCYBER showed a marginally higher peak brightness (about 10% brighter), though likely insignificant. Measuring average brightness proved challenging, but neither light meter readings nor subjective observation showed noticeable differences. Despite the 500% vs 900% claims (which seem meaningless), the POCYBER wasn't dimmer.
Ultimately, the POCYBER's inferior beam pattern and fuzzier cutoff line in my projectors decided my choice, as brightness differences were negligible. Interestingly, contrary to my expectation, the two-row POCYBER outperformed the single-row POCYBER in beam pattern quality.
For the upgrade, I ordered LED bulbs to replace the halogens. The cheapest LEDs ended up being costly due to installation struggles—zero instructions from the manufacturer or supplier.
Following YouTube tutorials, I disassembled the car, but reassembling with LEDs was problematic: three bulbs didn't work, and two wouldn't stay in their sockets. I returned the "budget" LEDs and ordered OXILAM bulbs (4 H7 and 2 H8) at a higher price. My car sat dismantled in the driveway for a week awaiting delivery.
The OXILAM package included a crucial instruction booklet. The bulbs snapped perfectly into place as I worked with the assembly in my lap. Within 30 minutes, all six bulbs worked flawlessly. Two hours later, the car was fully reassembled, and I was thrilled. After three hours of nighttime deer-country driving this week, I'm convinced it was worth every penny—visibility is now far superior to the original Hyundai lights!
